Ridgeview Physical Education Grading Scale for 6th and 7th grade 2007-2008

 

 

*The grading scale used by the Ridgeview Physical Education department was created to better assess the students’ preparedness, behavior, and participation.

 

 

How to maintain or lose points?

 

10 points:        The student comes to class with their gym shoes, proper P.E. attire, and participates to the best of their ability. They receive no more than 1 warning.

 

9 points:          The student comes to class with their gym shoes, proper P.E. attire, and participates to the best of their ability.  They receive no more than 2 warnings.

 

8 points:          The student comes to class with their gym shoes, proper P.E. attire, and participates to the best of their ability.  They receive no more than 3 warnings.

 

7 points:          The student comes to class with their gym shoes, proper P.E. attire, and participates to the best of their ability.  They receive more than 3 warnings.

 

6 points:          The student comes to class with their gym shoes, proper P.E. attire, and participates to the best of their ability.  The student gets set out of the activity for behavior.

 

0 points:          The student comes to class without gym shoes, no P.E. clothes, or voluntarily takes a no dress.  The student can not participate in P.E. that day.

 

Warnings:       Included with the warnings are for behavior, talking out of turn, lack of effort, poor attitude, being disrespectful towards others and the teachers, not following directions, and poor sportsmanship. 

                       

The severity of the students’ actions will determine the amount of points deducted.
