Miss Bielfeldt

My name is Kelly Tompkins. I live in the country near Gibson City. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Brad, for 20 years. We have two wonderful daughters, Janae and Holly. They attend GCMS Middle School and GCMS High School. Our family wouldn't be complete without our pets: Buddy, a golden retriever, Lucky, the inside cat and Lilo, the outside cat. I enjoy reading, playing the flute and spending time with my family.

I have been teaching in the Ridgeview School District for 21 years. I taught first grade for two years, Title One reading for one year and kindergarten for the last 18 years. Kindergarten is my absolute favorite!! We have the best time!! Kindergarteners are excited about everything. It is so rewarding to see them grow and start to understand the reading and writing process. It is rare to have a bad day when you get smiles and hugs all day long!!
