remote learning closing message

Hello Parents and Students,

School will be ending soon, and I know I speak for all Ridgeview employees when I say I am disappointed that this event will take place without a single student in the building.  And though I am saddened by this, I am incredibly proud of all of the hard work put forth by our staff, our parents, and especially our students.  No one was prepared for a school year quite like this one, and yet we have continued to move forward and to be successful.  As the school year comes to a close here are a few things you will need to know:

• The last day of student remote learning is Friday, May 15th.  Please refer to the 2019-2020 School Calendar.
  
• School breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided through Friday, May 22nd.
  
• Teachers will be communicating with you about your students' participation rate during remote learning.  Please make every effort to encourage your student to complete and submit all activities through May 15th.  These activities will be used to calculate your student’s fourth quarter report card using the indicators of P for Pass or INC for Incomplete.  These indicators are dependent on satisfactory participation and completion of activities.
  
• Check Skyward online to review your student’s success and contact your student’s teacher to discuss their performance and opportunities to complete any missed work.
  
• Information from the superintendent will be coming out shortly about the return of student supplies and the collection of school materials like chromebooks, chargers, library books, etc.
  
• Please reach out through email, our elementary Facebook page, or by calling the school if you have any questions.
  

Thank you for your continued support, flexibility, and positivity during these last few months.  Ridgeview is a great place to be, and it is made even better by outstanding community members like yourselves.  We have appreciated everything you have done to make adjustments during this time and wish you the best as we head into the summer.  Thanks.
