Mrs. Beck - 5th grade teacher, High School Cheerleading Coach, High School Assistant Track Coach
How long have you been at Ridgeview? 2 years teaching, 3 years coaching, and 13 years as a student. What do you love about working at Ridgeview? I love the small, tight-knit feel and being able to be a part of the community from all aspects. There is just something about working in a small town that I love more than anything. Not only do we get to know each child extremely well, but we get to know the families. I get to see my students and their families outside of the school day whether it is at sporting events or just around town. I get to work with teachers who once taught me along with so many amazing new teachers. Being a K-12 school all in one building, we get to see kids grow and change into amazing human beings. Nothing beats getting a wave from my previous 5th graders as they walk by the elementary hallway. This isn't something you can get in a big school or even anywhere other than Ridgeview! What is your dream vacation destination? Any tropical location! What is your favorite snack? Popcorn & Candy What is your favorite TV show or Netflix series? Any crime series & The Office What is your favorite quote? “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” -Albert Einstein What is your favorite restaurant? Biaggi's What is your favorite Holiday? Thanksgiving Do you have any pets? What are their names? Opie (Yellow Lab) & Arlo (Golden Retriever) Do you have a hobby? Coaching high school basketball cheerleading, competitive cheerleading, and track here at Ridgeview. What is an interesting, fun fact about you? My husband and I are both proud Ridgeview Alumni. I now get the honor of teaching 5th grade in the same classroom as our 5th grade teacher, Miss Wiss (Mrs. Wissmiller). I love being able to teach in the same room as one of the teachers that guided me to become a teacher! I also hold the Ridgeview school records for Long Jump and Triple Jump! Comments are closed.
