Brandon Wilson has been a hard worker all year in English and Yearbook class. He is always friendly and eager to help out
Michael Ruiz: Jesus is a student that is always going above and beyond in terms of what is expected of him. There have been countless times where I have seen him go out of his way to help other students. This trait of helping others is a great representation of the character that Jesus has.
Robyn Jones: Anthony has been working very hard in Literacy class. This is a tougher class for him but he has accepted the challenge and tackled it head on. He has also worked on his writing skills and answers questions more completely and thoughtfully. In addition, his handwriting has gotten much better which shows he is slowing down in order to do a better job.
Carla Taylor: William has gone above and beyond this 9 weeks with being responsible for his work. He has offered to help others. I have seen a huge turnaround in William's work ethic in my class. I hope this is going to flow over to other classes and in his future. Great job William--keep up the good work!!!
Addie Ramirez was the female lead in the spring musical. She was certainly the most emotionally invested, and went beyond the scope of a typical actor in any show. She assisted greatly with costuming, makeup, and most importantly, organized all of the dance choreography for the entire production. She also assisted in the construction of the large man-eating plants - adding paint detail, floral decorations, and assembling the interior of the puppets.
Shelby Enghausen was the student leader of the Spring musical's crew. She constructed 2 of the 4 puppets almost completely independently, and contributed a great deal to the construction of the 2 large puppets, which were assembled off campus, with detail work. She also operated one small puppet and one large puppet during the production, and ran the light board for half of the show. Her emotional investment in the tech aspect of this show was just as high if not greater than most of the actors.
Both students were nominated by Mr. Marchese.
Jahir was nominated by both Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Jones.
Mrs. Taylor said that Jahir is one of those students who just does the right thing all the time and he is so polite. He helps a lot of his classmates when they are struggling, even if he is still working on his homework. If there could be a class full of Jahirs-- life would be perfect!!!!!!
Mrs. Jones said that Jahir Ramirez is a very patient and understanding student. He continues to work hard and complete assignments even if others around him are not working. He is willing to help or work with anyone on assignments or projects.
Brittany was nominated by Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones said that she has been working very hard on her grades and staying focused in class. She takes her time on her assignments in order to do the best job she can. If she has a question about the work, she will come in and ask for extra help
Kam was nominated by Mr. Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy said that Kam is one of the politest, most respectful students we have in our Junior. High. Everyday Kam takes time to ask his classmates and teachers, how their day is going and how they are doing. Kam also does an outstanding job in the classroom. He comes to class everyday ready to learn and takes pride in his responsibilities as a student. These are just a few reasons why I have chosen to nominate Kam Harrison for March student of the month.
