Junior high and high school students are taking their learning to the 3rd dimension. With the addition of two 3D printers, students in Mr. Ruiz’s and Ms. Myroth’s classes already learned the basics of 3D CAD design to complete their first project of making a custom 3D printed keychain. With what students learned they will apply their design skills to complete several projects before the end of the year. In Mr. Ruiz’s class, 6th-grade students will be designing volcanoes based off of the content they learn in the next chapter. In Ms. Myroth’s physics class, students are in the process of designing a custom rollercoaster, to show the transfer of energy. In Ms. Sevik’s art class, students will be designing an object that can be cut in half to show a separate interior structure. These are just a few of the projects teachers are looking to complete before the end of this school year with many more projects already planned for next year. Stay tuned for more updates!
