Chloe Behnke A student just joined the band this year, after not playing at all last year. Chloe has been bringing her in during their 8th hour to give her some private one-on-one lessons. This was done completely without any direction from me. She truly has shown a great deal of leadership. In addition to this, she auditioned and was accepted into the ILMEA All-District Band. As a flute player this is incredibly difficult to do - that is an immensely competitive section. She and the best players from all over the area will be performing together at Olivet Nazarene University in mid November as a part of theILMEA All-District Music Festival. - Mr. Marchese October: River Rosales River Rosales for always trying hard in school. She comes to school early and on time everyday. She studies hard and takes school seriously. She is a hard working athlete. She is polite, respectful, and kind. She goes to school events, cheers on her friends at sporting events and is an outstanding teammate. She is an active member in the HS Student Council. She recently volunteered her time to work the Trivia for Tolan event. River also was awarded All Tournament Team at the Blue Ridge Tournament. - Mrs. Schultz JH: Mr. Ruiz. Ian Phillips (8th) wrote: He is a real chill teacher. He always makes sure nobody is failing. He is always really nice and he never really is mean. I would love for him to continue teaching at Ridgeview until he retires. He has helped me through rough times and I'm sure he has helped other kids through their rough times as well. He is the nicest teacher I have had. Lizzie Crowley (6) wrote: Mr. Ruiz is always so happy and outgoing as a teacher and he is one of my favorite teachers ever. He is so nice and always gives second chances. I can only think of a few a different people that are like him and that is not a lot that is why I chose Mr.Ruiz. HS: Mrs. Lovitt was nominated by 14 HS students. Makayla Decker (10) wrote: She is fun to talk to and her personality is great! Katelin Donaldson (9) wrote: She tries to do different things each day to make everyone happy. Even though she is new, all of the students respect and look up to her. She has rules and expectations and everyone fallows and meets them. She is understanding. She knows that learning a new language is hard, so she helps us out as much as possible and is always trying to do activities so that we have fun and want to learn. Katie Thompson (12) wrote: She has been very very understanding about what we have and haven't learned throughout our Spanish careers. She has been very patient with us and I know that she has our best intentions in mind while keeping the class fun and energetic I hope that she continues this throughout the year, and it is because of this I look forward to her class. The weather is getting colder. The flowers are dying. Students at Ridgeview took the initiative to create positive and inspiring posters to lift spirits! Our esteemed cafeteria staff accepted the challenge of judging the posters on the criteria of: Most creative, best saying, and craftsmanship. Congrats to Mrs. Weber's class on taking home the overall prize! Great job Ridgeview students! |
