Ridgeview Jr High sent 9 athletes to the IESA Track State Meet on Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15.

7th Grade Results:
Kailie Lancaster finished 22nd in Shot Put: 26-0 ft and 14th in Discus: 70-09 ft.
River Rosales finished 16th in High Jump: 4-4 ft
DJ Hicks competed in the 100 m dash finishing 24th with a time of 13.24
Levi Zimmerman finished in 33rd in High Jump: 4-7 ft and 31st in the 200 m dash: 28.36
8th Grade Results:
Ryan Benton finished 30th in the 100 m dash: 12.94 and 23rd in the 200 m dash: 25.51
Benji Phillips competed in the High Jump finishing in 10th place : 5-5 ft
Weight training began in November of last year and the athletes have a made great progress in the past five months. Lifters train 3 days /week for 90 minutes. In addition to their training, the athletes have helped to make several improvements to the weight room, including building new plyometric boxes, installing a chin up station, recovering weight benches and building a new records board.
Congratulations to Coach Kellar and the High School Boys Basketball Team for their 3rd place finish at IHSA 1A State Finals on Saturday. After a devastating lost on Friday to Brimfield, the boys rallied to defeat Forreston on Saturday.
Also making a State appearance - Junior High wrestler, Billy Tay earned the title of IESA State Champion! Billy owned the mat only allowing 2 points be scored on him and was crowned Champion winning the final match 12-0.
