Ridgeview Junior High's entire 7th class attended Bloomington's Construction Career Fair hosted by International Brotherhood of Electircal Workers (IBEW) yesterday. They spent the afternoon working at various stations and learning about apprenticeship's offered by local unions and trying their hands at wiring, pipe bending, laying brick, and finishing concrete.
Huge thanks to everyone who recruited, donated, volunteered and made delicious food for the Blood Drive yesterday. 89 units of blood were collected--a record! 31 high school students donated---also a record number! Way to go Mustangs!
Mrs. Schultz and the student's of her Foods class are busy preparing healthy snacks for everyone donating blood tomorrow during the 7th Annual Red Cross Blood Drive!
This years blood drive is in honor of Carly, an 8 year old Ridgeview Elementary Student with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.
It's not too late to donate!
Best appointment times open for the Blood Drive are from 3-5 pm! Walk-ins are welcome. All donors need to bring a photo ID. Please eat a healthy lunch and drink an extra 16 oz of water before donating.
On Wednesday, March 16th, in the High School gym, the Ridgeview Student Council and National Honor Society will be putting on their 7th annual Red Cross Blood Drive.
The blood drive will be in honor of Carly, an 8 year old student in the Ridgeview School District. Carly was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma on November 15, 2015. She has already needed multiple blood and platelet transfusions and may require more in the future. Come out and support the blood drive and be a hero to someone like Carly.
