The Ridgeview High School yearbook class is busy finishing this year's exciting new volume of photos and memories. This year's book titled "Breaking Through Ridgeview" is 96 colored pages featuring the most memorable events of the past nine months. These Ridgeview High School yearbooks are currently on sale. It is also time to place an order for the Ridgeview Junior High yearbook. This year your book will be designed by Ms. Barnes' 8th grade classes. This picture book will be 20 pages in color. 8th grade English students recently discussed abstract concepts such as beauty, truth, and success. The students picked one and wrote a narrative exploring how they defined the concept versus how society defined it. Here are some of the highlights!
Harley Weidner and Luke Ward
Harley is an active member of FFA, the varsity basketball team, and the varsity softball team. Harley spent a great deal of extra time working on the winter sports program. She laid it out, input rosters and pictures, and proofread the final copy. Harley played the lead role in the completing this project.
Luke is the senior class vice president and is a prospectus member of the National Honor Society. Luke had a strong December for the varsity basketball team. Luke is a team leader is scoring and three point percentage. Luke was selected to the Monticello Holiday Hoopla All-Tournament Team.
Olivia Harrison and Madison Klintworth
Olivia coordinated the gently used toy drive sponsored by the National Honor Society during November. This toy drive brought in a large number of toys both new and used that will be distributed to many children in the Bloomington/Normal area at Christmas. At Ridgeview High School Olivia currently serves as National Honor Society Co-President, FFA President, Spanish 4 Class Representative, Student Council President, and Senior Class Officer.
Madison recently marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City as a member of the Macy's Great American Marching Band. Madison was one of 250 student selected from across the United States to march in the parade. At Ridgeview High School Madison serves as a Theatre Club Officer, Spanish Club President, NHS Co-President, Student Council Officer, Senior Class Officer, GSA Officer, Drum Major, and Section Leader in Band.
