Fourth grade students had a surprise visit from one of their old friends on Friday. It was great to see you again Ezekiel and you're welcome back any time! We wish you the best!

🌻 Our Elementary Student Council members prepped a sunflower craft at their monthly meeting, then visited kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classrooms to lead the activity! We loved seeing our student leaders help our younger Mustangs create their sunflowers. Such a fun way to connect across grade levels! 💙

🍂 🎃 Our Elementary Student Council members helped support STANGS with their Fall Party Games! It was a fun opportunity for our student leaders to lend a hand and help make the celebration special for our Mustangs! 💙

Retake Picture Day is coming up on:

Tuesday, November 10

If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.

Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken.

Ridgeview CUSD 19 is celebrating our veterans on November 11th.

There will be a breakfast for veterans at 7:30 am. Please RSVP to kborton@ridgeview19.org if you would like to attend the breakfast.

Following breakfast there will be an assembly at 8:30 am all are welcome to attend.

Kindergarten through third grade artists entered an art competition for Red Ribbon Week. The winners were announced this morning. They are pictured here with their winning posters. They also received a ribbon for their awesome work. Congratulations!!

Our fourth and 5th grade artists have been working on collaboration for Red Ribbon Week. Posters will be judged and each class that wins will be taking home some ribbons.

Kindergarten received t-shirts from the STANGS elementary parent group. We are so thankful for these Mustang shirts to show our school spirit! Thank you so much STANGS!!!

Every day, we see our students stepping up–whether it's taking ownership of their learning, helping out a classmate without being asked, or always following through on their commitments. At Ridgeview Elementary School, being responsible isn't just about finishing homework on time– it's about showing character!

The "Purposeful Person" award was created for the elite students who not only strive for good character but exhibit multiple attributes! You will only see these students once a quarter--let's give an extra big cheer for our students recognized! They make Ridgeview an excellent place!

All of the third grade spent their first quarter in ELA answering the essential question: How do people explore the sea? They spent their first months in third grade learning about different artists, scientists, and important people who all contributed to how people explore the ocean today! As part of their Module Finale for the unit, they were tasked with creating a poster to show all of the different ways they've seen people explore the sea throughout this module. This is a simple appreciation post to all of those hard-working third graders who became inspired by the sea this unit-- thank you for all your efforts! Next up... How do people learn about space?

The best study buddy in the building! There’s nothing quite like having Marshall keeping a patient, calm and watchful eye on our students while they work hard in class, complete assignments or show off their skills to teachers! Hard work is always a little easier with four paws and a warm heart nearby!
