The Ridgeview School District was recently awarded a grant dedicated to recruiting exceptional educators to join our district. This grant represents an exciting opportunity to highlight the outstanding features and opportunities that Ridgeview offers to students, staff, and the community..
As part of our efforts to showcase the unique aspects of our district and attract talented teachers, we will be producing a promotional video of the school district. We will be working with Garcia Video Productions, a local company from the Bloomington-Normal area. This video will spotlight the innovative programs, supportive community, and enriching educational environment that define Ridgeview.
To ensure the success of this project and to respect the privacy of our students, we are informing parents that filming for this project will begin on Wednesday, April 17th with three to four additional days of onsite filming over the next few months. The vast majority of filming that will take place will be of general student and staff interactions. For example, there may be filming of students and staff interacting during lessons in a classroom, students walking in hallways, or participating in extracurricular activities. There could even be some filming at public community events. We expect there to minimal to no disruption to the daily school process.
We understand that some parents may have reservations about their child's participation in the filming. Therefore, we are providing an option for parents to opt out if they prefer. Parents who do not wish to have their child featured in the promotional video are requested to inform their child's school office as soon as possible. We will then take steps to ensure your child is not filmed in any capacity.
We are excited to showcase the exceptional opportunities and supportive community that make Ridgeview an outstanding place to teach, learn and live. This grant allows us to highlight the strengths of our district and attract talented educators who share our commitment to academic excellence and student success.
