Staying cool with Officer Thorndyke! Officer Thorndyke passed out popsicles to all of the elementary students today at their lunch recess. Thank you to the district office for supplying the popsicles.





The Smile Mobile Dentist will be visiting soon!
Paper consents will be sent home with every elementary student by the end of this week. If you need another copy please contact the office.

We have some awesome news to share!
The Dental Health office at Gibson Area Hospital has received a grant from IDPH to help improve dental health for school aged children. They are using some of these funds to send supplies to local schools. Every 4th and 5th grade student will be bringing home a dental hygiene kit containing an electric toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Also some reminders about effective dental hygiene! We are very thankful to them for providing these supplies.








In February, our Pre-K Program had a monitoring visit from the ISBE. Our Program achieved the Gold Circle of Quality in ExceleRate, the quality recognition and improvement system.
Congrats to the 2022-2023 Pre-K Team: Mrs. Maubach, Mrs. Scaggs, Mrs. Nunamaker and Miss Cioni.

Kindergarten students enjoyed a hunt looking for a dog named Brisket. We couldn't catch him but he did show us all of the wonderful places in our building and left us a yummy snack to take home.





Students in 5B worked to save Fred, the gummy worm who managed to capsize his boat and lose his life preserver!









Mrs. Beck’s class had to work as a team to build a pyramid of cups!
