Dear Families,
As we look ahead to the end of the week, I want to inform you we are closely monitoring the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for this Friday.

The safety of our students and staff is always our primary concern. At this time, no decision has been made regarding a change to our school schedule.

We plan to communicate a final decision as early as possible to give you adequate time to prepare. In the event that we are unable to hold in-person classes on Friday, it is highly likely that we will transition to an e-learning day.

Any updates or changes will be shared through our standard communication channels, including our automated calling system, text alerts, email, and the district website.

Attention K-5th grade parents. Fast bridge testing starts on Monday, January 12th. Please make sure that your student has charged their Chromebook, gets plenty of rest and is eating a good breakfast. Help them to remember to do their best!

Pre-K Parents - Today is a Teacher Institute and there is no school for students Pre-K to 12th grade. Tomorrow is our Pre-K screening day and there is no school for Pre-K students. We look forward to seeing our Pre-K students on Wednesday, January 7th.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 🚀🌕 Our 5th graders took a giant leap at the Challenger Learning Center! Their mission: Build and successfully land a rover on the lunar surface to explore a mysterious lava tube. It wasn’t easy, but through teamwork, critical thinking, and some serious STEM skills, our student-scientists completed the mission with flying colors! 🛰️💻 A massive THANK YOU to Peoples State Bank of Colfax for funding this incredible experience. We are so grateful for your investment in our students' futures and for making this "out of this world" day possible!

Making Spirits Bright (and Volumes Right!) 📏✨ There was no "hibernating" in math class this week! Our 5th graders stayed busy right up until the break, perfecting their Volume Zoo animals. Students had to calculate the total volume of their creatures, proving that they’ve mastered some big concepts this semester. Now, these animals (and their creators!) are ready for a well-deserved winter nap. 🦁🐼🐵🐘🦜🦥🦒🦘💤

The Student Council sent us into Winter Break with some hilarious Christmas skits! 🎄 They performed "Santapunzel," "The Gingerbread Dude," and "Snow White and the 6 1/2 Reindeer." Great job to all of our student performers!

Making Gingerbread houses is a 1st grade tradition that students look forward to for weeks!! It did not disappoint and students had a blast!
