Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
This message concerns the white milk distributed with summer meals on Thursday, June 12th, and Friday, June 13th.
We've confirmed with our distributor that the UHT (Ultra-High Temperature) white milk delivered on these dates shows signs of separation. While we have no further details from the distributor at this time, this issue appears to be limited to the white milk with an expiration date of October 2nd, 2025. This likely impacts all white milk distributed on June 12th and 13th..
Out of an abundance of caution, we kindly ask that you discard any white milk you received as part of your summer meal delivery on these dates.
We are actively working to secure an alternative product for all future meal deliveries. For your reference, we have attached images of the affected product.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the quality and safety of our summer meal program.
Sincerely,
Erik Young
Superintendent

Please note these changes to the Free Summer Meals schedule due to holidays. If you signed up to pick up food and won't be picking up, please email amulks@ridgeview19.org.

Building & Grounds closures this week:

We will be working hard this morning packing up food for pick-up today and tomorrow for our Free Summer Food Program!!! If you have pre-registered please be sure to be at pick-up. We plan, order, and pack enough for all those pre-registered and some extras for walk-ups. We do not want to see any of it go to waste. If you have pre-registered and are no longer planning to pick-up or will not be able to pick up a certain week, please email: amulks@ridgeview19.org

Have you ever considered Substitute Teaching? Contact tlopshire@ridgeview19.org to find out how to get started.

We had such a great last day with your kiddos! Field day was a blast! Thanks to STANGS, Alliance Grain, and all of the volunteers and staff who made it a success! We wish you the very best summer and we look forward to seeing you for the 25-26 school year!

Thank you to all who participated in the Read-a-Thon fundraiser! Mr. Hutley had fun rewarding all students who read 20 min or more by voting on a costume to wear for the day! He rewarded the class with the most fundraising pizza, the class that read the most had a water balloon fight, and finally the top readers and fundraisers got to have lunch with the principal at the ice cream shop!

Mrs. McCoy's class enjoying field day!

First grade here we come! Kindergarten enjoyed a visit to Mrs. Langhoff's first grade classroom.

In a significant boost to its music education programs, the Ridgeview Music Department, through the hard work of Mrs. Rachel Aupperle has been awarded $775 from the David and Kay Williams Music Education Endowment at the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation. The purpose of this funding is to provide necessary accommodations for students with disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to educational programs and activities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster an inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students, encouraging meaningful and equal participation.
