Mrs. Helmig's class had fun using letter charms.

It's looks like a jungle in 5th grade art!

You can find Marshall helping in all areas of the building. He went to PE this week to have friends show him how to do the exercises and then play the game! Marshall is a good motivator!

September in the Mustang Café.

Math time was fun exploring geoblocks in Mrs. Helmig's kindergarten class.

Is it too warm today? 2nd graders are working with the warm colors and watercolor paints today. These paintings are amazing!

Happy National Dog day! We had some friends celebrate Marshall by practicing their handwriting and letters by spelling his name! They even counted 8 letters in his name! Marshall is a lucky boy!

Kindergarten was busy today learning how to partner read with our first wordless picture book, Bow Wow Meow!

Good Afternoon,
At approximately 9:00am today a message was shared regarding ongoing police activity occurring near the school.
At this time, the Colfax Police Department has given the all clear and our activities can return to normal.
Thank you to the Colfax Police Department for their ongoing support throughout the day. As a result, we experienced very little disruption to our day. At no time today were any students or staff in danger.
The safety of our students and staff remains a top priority and your ongoing support is crucial to the continued success of students and staff at Ridgeview!
Sincerely,

In keeping with our firm commitment to effective communication with our school community, I am writing to advise you of a currently ongoing situation. On the advice and request of the Colfax Police Department, we are keeping all students and staff inside the building, until further notice. This is in response to ongoing police activity occurring near our school. There is no immediate threat or danger to our students, staff, or building. We are only doing this out of an abundance of caution. Our School Resource Officer is onsite, and classes are proceeding as normal throughout the building.
Once more details become available, I will share those with you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Ridgeview District Office.
Thank you for your support of Ridgeview Schools!

The Mustang Award is intended for students who go above and beyond to be Respectful, Responsible, Ready, and Safe. This week, these students were great examples of what it means to be a MUSTANG! Congratulations Mustang Award Winners! We are so proud of you!

Our staff is excited to welcome back students. It has been a great first few days. We are looking forward to an awesome school year!

Bus evacuation drill was a success today! All students participated and Marshall helped to transition students on the bus and showed them that if the drill was a new experience for them it was safe! Special thanks to our drivers and Mr. JC!

Free food resource! Sign up today for the Backpack Program! Flyers coming home with students today!!!!

Mr. Colton Mitchell joins us from his hometown of Rochester, IL. He is joining our 5th-grade team and is excited to be a part of this small community. He wants to be a good role model for his students and give them a reason to want to come to school each day. He spent some time playing on an ISU club volleyball team during his college years and also knows how to play guitar. We are excited to have Mr. Mitchell teaching 5th grade this year!

Marshall helped the school counselor and social worker teach students about being a kind friend and how to stop gossip and drama! Lots of good learning happening at Ridgeview Elementary.
