Ridgeview Community,
It is with deep sadness that I inform you about a tragic accident that has resulted in a significant loss in our schools and in our community. Today (Saturday), a student passed away after being involved in an accident.
Our district is committed to doing everything we can to help our students with the grieving and healing process. To that end, we have activated our crisis counseling team to be at our schools tomorrow (Sunday) from 12:00pm to 3:00pm in the Media Center.
Loss like this can impact everyone in our school family and in the Ridgeview Community. Students may have a difficult time dealing with the loss, and we encourage you to talk with your child.
At this time, the district will not be releasing the name of the student out of respect for the privacy of the families. Please continue to keep these families and students in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate your continued support of our students.
Sincerely,
Erik Young
Superintendent
Ridgeview C.U.S.D. #19
