We held Ridgeview’s 14th annual community blood drive on Wednesday the 15th, hosted by the HS Student Council and National Honor Society students. There were 79 donors that came this year, we have not had that many donors since 2018! We also flew past the Red Cross's goal of 50 units of blood, 72 units were collected! That could help up to 216 people. Out of our 79 donors, 30 were first time donors, and 22 were HS students. We hope that it was a good experience and you continue to donate to help others. Blood donors are so important because there is no substitute for it and almost everyone knows or loves someone that was saved by a blood donor. Next year we will push to get a little closer to our all time record, set in 2016, of 96 units of blood. We would like to thank everyone that contributed to making the blood drive a success, by donating blood, donating food, or donating their time! Keep an eye out for information about a community blood drive, there is no date set, but we have some amazing HS students that would like to host their own blood drive this summer!
