NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Education of Ridgeview Community Unit School District No. 19, in the County of McLean, State of Illinois, that an amended budget for said school district for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, will be on file and conveniently available to public inspection at 300 South Harrison Street, Colfax, Illinois in the Ridgeview Community Unit School District Office from and after 9 o’clock am., on the 7th day of May, 2025.
Notice is further hereby given that a public hearing on said budget will be held at 6 o’clock pm, on the 17th day of June 2025, in the Ridgeview Media Center, 300 South Harrison Street, Colfax, Illinois.

There is currently an open seat on the Ridgeview Board of Education. If interested in applying for this volunteer position, please send your Letter of Intent to tlopshire@ridgeview19.org by Wednesday, May 14. Interviews will be held during the board meeting on May 20th.

Bus #33 to Saybrook has had some mechanical issues this afternoon and is broken down. We are currently working to get a replacement bus to them. Students will running late. Please do not go to the bus. That will create, added safety concerns. We will let you know when we are back up and running.

Ridgeview CUSD 19 is celebrating all of its staff this week. We have planned fun activities and sweet treats throughout the week, but we know some of the most meaningful appreciation can come from notes from parents, current/former students, and/or community members.

A huge thank you to the Ridgeview Social Committee for organizing the 2nd annual Staff Egg Hunt today after school. One thousand eggs were filled with coupons for items donated by area businesses. Staff members got to 'hunt' for eggs on the football field and collect whatever prizes were inside his/her eggs.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF TIMELY AND MEANINGFUL CONSULTATION
On May 22, 2025 at 8:30 am, a meeting conducted by Ridgeview CUSD 19 will take place at 300 S. Harrison St. Colfax, IL. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2025-26 school year.
If you are the parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of the Ridgeview School District, you are urged to attend.

We’re excited to announce that Mr. Zach Freed will be stepping into a new role as our Jr./Sr. High School Principal!
Mr. Freed is currently part of the Ridgeview High School team, where he’s already making a strong impact in the classroom. He brings with him a deep commitment to our students, a passion for education, and a strong understanding of our school community. Mr. Freed will officially begin on July 1, 2025.
We’re thrilled to have his leadership as we look ahead to the future—please join us in welcoming Mr. Freed to this new chapter!

The Ridgeview/Lexington track team will not be traveling to the indoor meet this evening due to the anticipated server weather.

Awesome atmosphere in the South Gym tonight as the Mustangs took on Fisher for the 8th grade volleyball regional championship. Ridgeview lost in 3 sets. Great effort by both teams/programs.
Congrats to Izabel Evans on being honored as one of the two IESA Sportsmanship Awards for the regional.





Help us pack the gym for the 8th Grade Regional Championship game on Thursday, March 13th at 5:30pm vs Fisher. The theme for the game is WHITE OUT - wear white to support the Ridgeview Mustangs!


Congrats to the 8th grade volleyball team and coaches on their regional semi-final win over Lexington tonight. They will play Fisher on Thursday for the regional championship at 5:30 in the South Gym!

Hello Ridgeview Families,
Next week the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Ridgeview student’s will be starting our annual Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing and the 8th graders also are taking the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) test. All students will need the following things:
- Headphones
- Charged Chromebook
- Great night's sleep
- Positive can-do attitude!
The testing sessions will go as follows:
- Monday, March 17th (8th ONLY = Science Test 1)
- Tuesday, March 18th (6th, 7th, & 8th = Math Test 1 & ELA Test 1)
- Wednesday, March 19th (6, 7, & 8 = Math Test 2 & ELA Test 2)
- Thursday, March 20th (6, 7, & 8 = Math Test 3 / 8th ONLY = Science Test 2)
- Friday, March 21st (8th ONLY = Science Test 3)
The math tests are 60-minutes each, the ELA tests are 90-minutes each, and the science tests are 60-minutes each.

Great weekend for the Ridgeview-Lexington wrestler's at the IESA State Tournament. Sawyer Manning finishes 6th & Ashtyn Copley finishes 4th! Congrats on a great season to both of these young men!

Update from the IESA State Wrestling Tournament in DeKalb...Ashtyn is 2-0 and will wrestle in the Semi-Finals around 11 am. Sawyer is 1-1 and will wrestle again at 9:00 am.
