4th graders loved having some family members join us for the Holiday Meal!

1st grade had a blast making Gingerbread houses!

Kindergartners enjoyed scratch art ornaments in art class.

Third grade art class made ornaments this week.

First grade artists made Christmas cards this week. We have been waiting to use our homemade paper.

Marshall met some Who's from Whoville this morning! Ridgeview students are getting in the holiday spirit and having fun with dress up days!

Spirits are bright in Mrs. McCoy's kindergarten class.

1F showed up today for Christmas sweater/ugly sweater day!!

Winding down the semester but still catching kids doing outstanding things! Helpful, courteous and problem solvers--keep it up Mustangs!

Santa told Marshall he made the NICE LIST!

When Marshall is calm and relaxed students often match and mirror his energy. We often call this co-regulation with humans and Marshall is a great tool to help students when they are needing to calm down and a great teaching tool when their emotions are regulated.

Good Morning,
Earlier this morning some may have noticed multiple police officers at and in our building. We want to inform you that their presence was due to a door being found propped open early this morning. They walked the building and determined there were no ongoing issues or concerns related to this matter.
I want to thank the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and the Colfax Police Department for their prompt response and support in ensuring our safety.
Thank you for your understanding.
Mr. Young

Ridgeview Families,
While we have been enjoying some milder weather the last few days, a cold snap is just around the corner. Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits tomorrow (Wednesday) into Thursday. Please make sure students are dressing appropriately - coats, hats, gloves, etc. Stay warm!
Mr. Young

This week in kindergarten art. Model Magic selfies.

When your best friend wears "Marshall" on his shirt--you get to have a twin for the day! Happy Thursday and stay warm!

The cold weather is not slowing down all of the great behavior and choices at Ridgeview! We are proud of you staying focused and working hard!

4W is learning area and perimeter with exciting hands-on activities!

The Ridgeview Pre-K was granted books through an Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Book Grant. Mrs. Testory is excited for the addition of developmentally appropriate agriculture literature to expand our study of plants this year.

4th grade is working on perimeter and area this week!

Congratulations Mrs. McCoy for receiving an Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Book Grant! The kindergarten classes received a variety of high quality literature to expand their libraries. This was made possible through the Illinois Farm Bureau.
