The McLean County Farm Bureau presented the Ridgeview Ag Department with a check for the purchase of 4 new updated welders! We are so grateful for their continued support of our program! The new welders will provide students with hands on opportunities to learn the art of welding and gain skills on equipment that could lead them into the growing industry of welding! 👩‍🏭👨‍🏭 Thank you to the McLean County Farm Bureau for supporting our program and students and allowing for new opportunities!⚡️ #Doingtolearn

Intro to Ag Students learned a new life skill: how to tie a tie. 👔 We cant wait to see them put this to use as homecoming is coming up next week!

Do you remember going to Cracker Barrel and playing the golf tee game? The 7th grade Woods classes have been learning how to use some power tools as well as staining and applying poly to create their own copies. Games come home next week for some family competition!

The court will appear in the parade that begins at 6pm on Wednesday, September 9th - the king and queen will be crowned during the pep rally after the parade at the football field

Ridgeview Woods class to create wooden Military Service Flags

Ridgeview Schools will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Wednesday, November 11th. Our 7th Grade Woods class would be honored to create a Military Service wood flag for any Ridgeview community members who desire to have one created. Service flags are typically displayed by the family members of active service members in the US Military and members of the US Military who died in the line of duty. These flags feature a white background with a red border and one or more stars. Each star represents a military family member; Blue stars are symbolic of family members in active duty, while Gold stars represent family members who died during service. Whether you have a family member that is active, or if you have had family members that are no longer in service or have passed on, we would still like to make you a Service wood flag to display in your home as a token of our gratitude for those who have and are still serving our country. Below is an example picture for reference.

If your family would be interested in having a wood flag created, free of charge, please reach out to Brent Harms bharms@ridgeview19.org for further information. We plan to provide these flags to families during our Veteran’s Day Assembly at school, so please plan to attend if possible. Please share with any Ridgeview community members who may be interested.
