Hello Ridgeview Families,
Next week the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Ridgeview student’s will be starting our annual Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing and the 8th graders also are taking the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) test. All students will need the following things:
- Headphones
- Charged Chromebook
- Great night's sleep
- Positive can-do attitude!
The testing sessions will go as follows:
- Monday, March 17th (8th ONLY = Science Test 1)
- Tuesday, March 18th (6th, 7th, & 8th = Math Test 1 & ELA Test 1)
- Wednesday, March 19th (6, 7, & 8 = Math Test 2 & ELA Test 2)
- Thursday, March 20th (6, 7, & 8 = Math Test 3 / 8th ONLY = Science Test 2)
- Friday, March 21st (8th ONLY = Science Test 3)
The math tests are 60-minutes each, the ELA tests are 90-minutes each, and the science tests are 60-minutes each.

Great weekend for the Ridgeview-Lexington wrestler's at the IESA State Tournament. Sawyer Manning finishes 6th & Ashtyn Copley finishes 4th! Congrats on a great season to both of these young men!

Another reminder about the Ridgeview Blood drive on Tuesday March 11th! It is from 11-5pm in the HS gym!!! The blood drive is in honor of Daviney!! We are in need of more donors to sign up! Adapted PE is practicing their bowling skills today! The kids had so much fun knocking the pins down.




Mrs. Moreland's Math and Life Skills classes had fun learning about the history of pretzels and making some to eat too!

Trooper Bufford from the Illinois State Police came and talked to Mrs. Schultz's Driver Education classes today. She covered traffic laws, school bus violations, texting and driving, drinking and driving, how to conduct yourself at a traffic stop, seatbelt importance, Scott's law, and so much more!









Lisa Maynard from the OSF Thinkfirst program came and talked to Mrs. Schultz's HS Health education classes about brain and spinal cord injuries and seatbelt safety! Her presentation is impactful and important for all students to hear!!!




Ridgeview Baseball Camp is Saturday, April 12th - this event is being put on by the High School Baseball Team and they want everyone from Kindergarten thru 5th grade to come and learn more about baseball. Registration is just $20 which includes a camp t-shirt if you are registered by March 31st. Flyers are being sent home with all Ridgeview Elementary students.

This week, the Building Trades class gives a huge "THANK YOU" to Getty Landscaping who donated funds so that our class could purchase some new tools to help with our project at the Legion! Today, the class measured, cut, and nailed an entire wall on their own! Big progress!
