We’re excited to announce that Mr. Zach Freed will be stepping into a new role as our Jr./Sr. High School Principal!
Mr. Freed is currently part of the Ridgeview High School team, where he’s already making a strong impact in the classroom. He brings with him a deep commitment to our students, a passion for education, and a strong understanding of our school community. Mr. Freed will officially begin on July 1, 2025.
We’re thrilled to have his leadership as we look ahead to the future—please join us in welcoming Mr. Freed to this new chapter!
HS Health Education classes created a STEM project. They had to create a 3D Respiratory System project that included the pathway of air. Here's some pictures of a few projects! The creativity from the students is always the best part!
Mrs. McCoy's freshman English classes recently read "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. The advanced class then created this mural/photo opp for their classmates to enjoy. Many of the feathers contain information about the sensory detail Poe uses to build suspense.
This week, our team had the pleasure of hosting an amazing group of young athletes at our 1st Youth Baseball Camp! Over the course of the camp, these future stars worked o their skills in hitting, throwing, fielding, and baserunning—all with guidance from our players The energy was high, the laughs were loud, and the love for the game was stronger than ever. We’re proud to play a part in growing the game and inspiring the next generation. Can’t wait to do it again!
Gary Buchs came in and talked to driver education classes. Gary is a long time owner-operator retired from active hauling in October 2019. Gary has traveled all around the country in a semi! He shared his knowledge and experience with the students. Fun fact...the TravelCenters of America in Bloomington is named after him! Thank you Gary!
Today was the last day of food packing for HS student council and NHS. They did this once a month for 45 min. We appreciate their service hours to help our community!!!
Landscape Design students applied what they learned in our floral design unit by arranging centerpieces for the FFA Banquet. A huge thank you to Forget Me Not Flowers for helping us get the flowers and vases! 🌼🌻

Mrs. Moreland's Math and Life Skills classes made cinnamon rolls this week!
Lacrosse is the new unit in Mrs Kukuck's PE classes. We are hoping for warmer weather next week to get outside to play.

The ISU student nurses finished their last day of clinical at Ridgeview today. They presented in Mrs. Schultz's JH/HS Health classes, on Rethink your Drink. They talked about caffeine content and sugar in our drinks.
