From the Mustang Café Since we had a eLearning day today I have adjusted the menu for the remainder of the week. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm today.

Ridgeview CUSD #19 will be utilizing an E-Learning day today (Monday, January 10, 2022). Country roads (especially across the southern part of our district) are glazed and extremely icy. There will be no student attendance. Students - please check your email or classroom app for instructions on learning and connecting with class today. The forecast calls for cold temperatures again, so please make sure kids are dressed appropriately for the weather tomorrow, as they head out the door. Thank you to the McLean County Highway Department for installing the new lights on the School Zone signs on Harrison Street for us. The lights are an added feature to help alert drivers they are entering a School Zone. The lights will be on during our "high traffic times" from 7:30am-8:30am and 2:30pm-3:30pm on school days. Please remember to use caution anytime you are driving around the school.

Welcome Back! I just wanted to share a couple reminders prior to school restarting tomorrow (Monday 1/3/22). -Tomorrow will be a full day of school - 8:15am-3:05pm. - The temperature tomorrow is expected to be cold. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather. -We are still awaiting guidance on how the recent changes in quarantine released last week by the CDC (and adopted by IDPH) will impact schools. As of right now, we will still be following all the same guidelines in place prior to break. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow! Mr. Young

Santa came to visit Ridgeview today!

First, a very important statement has been posted to your Family Access account. Please make sure you see that message. Please do not hesitate to contact the unit office if you have any questions. Second, power has been restored to Ridgeview Schools. Thank you to the crews who have been working to get this done! Therefore, the Elementary Christmas concert for tonight is on as scheduled. We will also attempt to live stream the concert on Facebook. A link will be posted on Facebook just prior to showtime. An lastly, tomorrow the high school will follow the finals schedule from today. Tomorrow’s menu will be Breakfast- Chocolate Donuts w/sprinkles Lunch- we’ll be having our holiday feast Baked ham w/ roll, scalloped potatoes, cinnamon baked apples and a Christmas cookie.

Currently Ridgeview Schools are still without power. Crews are still working to resolve the issue. At this time we are cancelling all after school and evening practices. A decision on the Elementary Christmas Concert will be made at 3:30PM today. Thank you for your patience. Mr. Young

HS Student Council wants to thank everyone who brought in food items or cash donations for the food drive last week. Overall we had 524 dollars donated and 1,031 items collected. What a huge accomplishment. Again, thank you so much for helping your community. Also, a huge thank you to these 9 HS Student Council Members for packing and delivering all items to the church!!
