It's Fall Y'all! ELA students in Mrs. Moreland's class have been working with the changing seasons. They collected leaves to make their own Fall trees. Now it's time to write about their trees!
Needing to get those leftover Halloween costume items out of your house now that the festivities are over? We're collecting them for those students who'll need a last-minute costume next year!

Anyone that is going to the football game tomorrow parking will be tight. Sterling High School is hosting a chess invitational during the day tomorrow. Please be aware that you might have to walk a bit to field.

The Illinois State Board of Education recently released the annual school report cards. All three of the Ridgeview schools achieved "Commendable" designations. We are proud to receive this designation! It recognizes our district's commitment across crucial areas, including academic performance, school environment, and student/educator statistics.

Illinois Music Education Association All-District students announced
Good afternoon. Playoff apparel is in!! Lexington orders will be available for pick up tomorrow during the school day at the high school office. Ridgeview orders will be handed out today to those students that are still in attendance. For anyone else needing to pick up their order from Ridgeview I will be around until 730 tonight or you can swing by the office tomorrow.
Ridgeview FFA members are off on Day 1 of National FFA Convention in Indianapolis!

Ridgeview FFA will be receiving an award for being a 3 Star Chapter! This means we are among the top chapters across the nation! Two members will walk across the stage during the second general session Thursday, October 30th around 2:30-3 pm Central.

The FFA and Ag Department has spent time working at our FFA Plot the past couple of weeks. A couple weeks ago the BSAA classes completed yield estimation calculations prior to harvest.
Friday 5 of our FFA members were able to observe the harvest of the plot! It was great being able to watch the combine and semi’s in action and to see how the varieties in the plot yielded!

Location &Time:Game will be played @the field directly behind Sterling High
School(not at Newman).The address is 1608 4th Avenue, Sterling, IL.This field is artificial turf.Kickoff is at 1:00pm.
Admission:Per the IHSA every ticket will cost $8.00.The only exception is a baby in arms will be free.No passes will be accepted.There will be no discount for seniors or students.There is no digital ticket.
Gates:Gates will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff(12:00pm).Players and coaching staffs will be allowed to enter at 10:30am.
Concessions:Located under the South end of the bleachers.Only cash will be accepted at the concession stand.
Bleachers:RL fans should sit behind their bench.

Good evening! The Mustangs will be hitting the road for Round 1 of the Playoffs.
The game will be on Nov. 1st, 2025 with a 1:00 pm start time vs Sterling Newman Catholic. The game will be played at Sterling High School, Sterling High School, 1608 4th Ave, Sterling, IL 61081
Once we receive parking, ticket, and other game day information that will be shared.

Stop for School Buses -
*When you see a school bus slowing down or stopping, it’s not just the bus that you need to have your eyes on – but the surrounding area too.
*Children wait at least several feet away from a bus and often cross the street when they’re boarding or getting off the bus. This is why you must stop for school buses, and don’t attempt to pass.
Illegal School Bus Passing -
*Illegal school bus passing poses a significant threat to children and others on the road.
*In every state, it is illegal for you to pass a school bus while the stop-arm is extended and the red lights are flashing.
Understanding School Bus Lights -
*Learn the school bus laws in your state and always follow them, as well as the flashing lights that school bus drivers use to alert you.
*Yellow flashing lights indicate the bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. You should slow down and prepare to stop your vehicle.
*Red flashing lights and extended stop arms indicate the bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. You must stop your car and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving, before you can start driving again.
