Good afternoon. Due to a sewer concern in the school the jh boys bball games set for tonight vs LeRoy will now be played in LeRoy. Game will start at 5:30 for the 7th grade followed by the 8th grade.Games will be played at the High School. No admission will be taken and no concession stands will be open. All evening events/activities for Jan. 10, 2025 have been postponed due to the weather and road conditions. Activities scheduled for tomorrow Jan. 11, 2025 are still good to go for now. If you are traveling to the school tomorrow morning please give yourself extra time to get here and please be careful.

Tonight's HS Boys Basketball games at Gardner have been postponed. All other practices for the district also have been cancelled for the evening.

Dear Ridgeview Families: We are hosting a cardiac screening event! Monday February 3rd, 2025 It is open to all students age 10 yrs and up. Pre-registration is required for our event. Parent/guardians do not need to be present. These will take place during the school day. Each screening takes about 5 min. The cost of screenings are being covered by generous donors! Good Morning, Earlier this morning some may have noticed multiple police officers at and in our building. We want to inform you that their presence was due to a door being found propped open early this morning. They walked the building and determined there were no ongoing issues or concerns related to this matter. I want to thank the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and the Colfax Police Department for their prompt response and support in ensuring our safety. Thank you for your understanding. Mr. Young

Ridgeview Families, While we have been enjoying some milder weather the last few days, a cold snap is just around the corner. Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits tomorrow (Wednesday) into Thursday. Please make sure students are dressing appropriately - coats, hats, gloves, etc. Stay warm! Mr. Young

Free turkeys! Midwest Foodbank is giving away turkeys this Saturday, November 23rd. You must live in McLean County and bring an ID card.

6th grade students created papyrus scrolls on Monday and wrote out hieroglyphic messages today in class.

November 15 is School Board Members Day in Illinois. The role of volunteer school board members is essential, and their decisions shape the future of our community school district. Ridgeview CUSD 19 showed our support for all of Veterans by hosting a district wide assembly this morning. Thank you to all of the staff, students, and community who made this possible.

Congrats to Alec Harper for qualifying for the IHSA Golf Sectional! He will compete again on Monday Oct. 7th. The Sectional will take place at the Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy. Best of luck Alec!
